NULLIFICATION AND SECESSION: THE PRIMARY TOOLS OF LIBERTY.

I watched with considerable interest the secession talks in several states over the years and even counties in Colorado were at one time taking up the idea. I have also read with considerable interest those who claim there is nothing in our Constitution or the Constitution of the state of Colorado that would allow such an act.

The most disturbing were the comments from readers at one of the media websites I visited reporting the story of the secession movement in Colorado. The one thing most important to individual freedom has been stolen or suppressed by our present government: Individuals have adopted the language and mentality of slaves. Comments such as “do those idiots really believe they can secede from the state?” and “there is nothing in the laws or the several constitutions that allow secession.”
